Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry was diagnosed with type-2 diabetes after collapsing on the set of TV show Living Dolls from low blood sugar. She credits her doctor with helping her to turn her life around by encouraging her to change her diet and embrace exercise. "Diabetes turned out to be a gift," she said. "It gave me strength and toughness because I had to face reality, no matter how uncomfortable or painful it was."
