We look back at the history of the musclemen who work their body every inch to perfection.
Prussian Eugen Sandow, the 'Father of Bodybuilding', laid down the foundations for exercise and fitness that we still use today. He created and marketed spring-grip dumbbells and tension bands, started bodybuilding gymnasiums and wrote magazines with exercise and health tips for the fitness-inclined. After finding success in 1889 flexing his muscles and posing for audience's all around the world in travelling shows, he founded the first bodybuilding competition in 1901.
