A video of young cancer sufferers lip synching Kelly Clarkson's motivational song 'Stronger' has become an online hit, with the famous singer praising her imitators.
The video filmed at the Seattle Children's Hospital was the brainchild of 22-year-old Chris Rumble who was diagnosed with leukemia in April and wanted to share something with his former hockey team in Washington, the Washington Post reports.
The video shows cancer patients, many attached to drips, their parents and nurses dancing around the hospital and mouthing the words to the song as they hold up signs that display words like 'hope', 'fighter’ and 'stronger'.
The short clip was uploaded to YouTube on May 6 and has been viewed more than one million times while also generating coverage in mainstream media outlets.
One of the many people who watched the video was the song's original performer Kelly Clarkson who described the song as "amazing" on her personal website.
"It made my day. I know it’s making everybody else’s day online," Clarkson wrote.
Dr Douglas Hawkins said hospital staff and patients were overjoyed by the response.
