Doctors in Peru have found a partially formed foetus inside the stomach of a three-year-old boy.

Isbac Pacunda was found to have tissue from the foetus of his twin brother inside of him.

The "parasitic twin" weighs 700g and is approximately 25cm long, Fox News reports.

The tissue is to be removed sometime today by surgeon Carlos Astocondor and 12 other doctors.

The partially formed foetus does not have a brain, heart, lungs or intestines, according to Mr Astocondor.

Isbac would have absorbed the foetus when inside his mother's womb.

It has some hair on the head, eyes and some bones.
