Scissor Sisters stars Jake Shears and Babydaddy showed their generous side by playing an intimate set at a diabetes fundraiser.

The kind-hearted pop stars performed an acoustic set at the Art Antiques London Party in the Park on Tuesday, helping to raise $US730,000 ($NZ923,000) for diabetes charity JDRF.

Shears says, "We were proud to attend this event to support JDRF and help raise the profile of type 1 diabetes which is a condition that is close to our hearts as we have a dear friend whose young daughter has type 1. It was a pleasure to play at the event and we wish JDRF every success in their research work to find the cure."
